Disable Aero in Windows

Select your operating system below for instructions:

Windows 7

1. Right click on your Desktop and click Personalize.
2. Scroll down to “Basic and High Contrast Themes”.
3. Click on Windows 7 Basic.
4. Once the theme has changed, close the window.

Windows Vista

1. Right click on your Desktop and click Personalize.
2. Click on “Window Color and Appearance”.
3. Near the bottom, click on “Open classic appearance properties for more color options”.
4. In the list, click on “Windows Vista Basic” and click OK.
