Change the printer feed source on a Canon Printer

Problem

In some cases a message may be coming up asking to insert paper when there is already some loaded, or it may be obvious that it is trying to read from the casette when you want it to print from the rear tray.

Solution

1. Click the Start button (Windows XP users should then click Run).
2. Type “control printers” without quotes and press Enter.
3. Right click your printer and click Properties.
4. Click the Maintenance tab.
5. Click on Change Paper Feed Source and select either Rear Tray or Cassette – whichever you want it to print from.
6. It will ask if you want to write the setting to the printer. Click Yes.
7. Close the Properties window.
