Problem
In Parallels, when you try to open a file from your Mac partition, it says “file not found”.
Solution
Check that the filename and all folder names it is contained within are not using an characters not supported by Windows such as an asterisks (*), quotation marks (“) or double spacing.
For a list of unsupported characters in Windows, whilst renaming an item, press the / key and a speech balloon will appear with them listed. Double spacing won’t be mentioned as Windows automatically renames files which have it.
