Problems may include printing blank pages, faded print outs or poor print quality.
- Click the Apple icon in the top left.
- Go to System Preferences.
- Click on Print & Fax.
- Click on your HP printer. Then click the ‘Options & Supplies’ button.
- Click on the Utility tab and click the ‘Open Printer Utility’ button.
- For bad printouts use the Clean Print Heads option.
- Click the Test Page option. This will bypass the driver.
- If it prints fine, then try and print in black and colour using 2 other programs (i.e. Word and TextEdit).
- If it only prints out OK in the Test Page utility then it’s best to do a complete uninstall of the HP printer.
- Then click the apple in the top left corner of the screen and click Software Update.
- Install all the updates and restart.
- Then go to Print & Fax in System preferences and try to Add your printer with the + button.
