Dictionary not spelling in English on Word for Mac

Problem

In Word, as you type the dictionary is picking up words you have mispelled but is not offering alternatives in your own language.

Solution

1. Click Word on the top menu bar.
2. Click Preferences.
3. Click the “Spelling and Grammar” button.
4. Click the “Dictionaries” button.
5. Click on Custom Dictionary.
6. Check the language setting. If it is not your own language (e.g. “English (UK)”), then click the drop down menu and select it from the list.
