Scrolling settings in Mac OS X Lion

Problem

After upgrading to or installing Mac OS X Lion, you notice that the mouse scrolls in the opposite or reverse way in which you are used to.

Solution

To change the setting for the Trackpad:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left.
  2. Click System Preferences.
  3. Click the TrackPad icon.
  4. Click the Scroll & Zoom tab.
  5. Uncheck the “Scroll direction: natural” option.
To change the setting for a Mouse:
  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left.
  2. Click System Preferences.
  3. Click the Mouse icon.
  4. Uncheck the option named “Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating”.
