To enable web development tools in Safari such as the “Inspect Element” feature seen in other browsers:
- Open Safari.
- Go to the Preferences window:
- PC Users:
- Press the Alt key to show the top menu.
- Click Edit then Preferences.
- Mac Users:
- On the top menu, click Safari then Preferences.
- Click the Advanced button at the top.
- Check the “Show Develop menu in menu bar” option which you will find near the bottom.
- Close Preferences.
Now the “Develop” menu will appear on the top menu (Windows users need to press Alt to see it). You can also right click somewhere on a page and then click the “Inspect Element” option.
