You can change the name in which Intego VirusBarrier is registered to by performing the following steps:
- Go to the Applications folder.
- Open the Utilities folder.
- Open Terminal.
- Highlight the line in bold below and press cmd + C to Copy it:
sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /Library/Intego/.virusbarrier_info - Click on the Terminal window and press cmd + V to paste the command.
- Press Enter.
- You will need to enter your password and press Enter.
- It won’t show any characters when you type.
- If you do not have a password then set one first.
- A document will open in TextEdit. Underneath the text “<key>User Name</key>” you will see the currently registered name. Delete only the name and replace it with the desired name you wish to change it to.
- Press cmd + S to save the changes.
- Press cmd + Q to quit TextEdit.
- Press cmd + Q again to quit Terminal.
