How to take a Screenshot of your Mac Screen Saver

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left of the screen.
  2. Click System Preferences.
  3. Click “Desktop & Screen Saver” on the first row.
  4. Make sure you have the correct screen saver selected.
  5. Hold down the cmd + Shift keys. Don’t let go until step 8.
  6. Click the Test button. The screen saver will appear.
  7. When you are ready, press the number 3 on your keyboard.
  8. Let go of the cmd + Shift keys. The screen saver should go off and the screenshot will appear on your Desktop as an image file.
