Rebuild Windows Search Index

This article applies to Windows Vista, 7 or above.

1. Press the Windows key + R.
2. Copy and paste the following line into the run dialog:
   rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL srchadmin.dll
3. Press Enter. The Indexing Options window will appear.
4. Click the Advanced button.
   
5. In the Advanced Options, click the Rebuild button.
   
6. A prompt will appear. Click OK.
   
7. You can then close the Indexing Options window. Indexing will be done in the background.
