"The directory name is invalid" when installing

Problem

When installing an applicationy you get the error “The directory name is invalid” along with the location of the file which is actually the one you are launching.

Solution

1. Close any installers you have open.
2. Go to the C:\Windows folder.
3. Create a new folder called Temp.
