How to disable the Show Desktop preview in Windows 7

Problem

When hovering the mouse over the Show Desktop rectangle (small space a the far right of the taskbar), it will show the desktop.

Cause

This is enabled by default in Windows 7.

Solution

To disable this feature:

1. Right clicking on the Taskbar and click Properties.
2. Uncheck “Use aero peek to preview the desktop.”
3. Click OK
