Disable Information Bar in Internet Explorer

Follow these instructions to completely disable the Information bar in Internet Explorer.
You can ignore any steps starting in bold if you do not wish to disable that feature.

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools -> Internet Options.
3. Click the Security tab.
4. Click the Custom level button.
5. To turn off the Information bar for Downloads:
1. Scroll down to the “Downloads” heading.
2. Under “Automatic prompting for downloads” select Enable.
6. To turn off the Information bar for ActiveX:
1. Scroll down to the “ActiveX controls and plugins” heading.
2. Under “Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls” select Enable.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Yes to confirm you want to make the change.
9. To turn off the Information bar for Pop-ups blocked:
1. Click the Privacy Tab.
2. Under the Pop-up Blocker heading click the Settings button.
3. Uncheck the “Show Information bar when a pop-up is blocked.
4. Click Close.
10. Click OK.
