Problem
On your Mac, you are unable to get a response when you click on any of the icons that appear on your top menu on the right hand side such as Bluetooth, Time, Wireless or the Spotlight search.
Solution
- Go to your Applications folder.
- Open the Utilities folder.
- Open Activity Monitor.
- Find SystemUIServer in the list and click on it once.
- Click the Quit Process button at the top.
- Click Force Quit.
- Close Activity Monitor.
If after these steps the icons fail to come back, try the following:
- Go to your Applications folder.
- Open the Utilities folder.
- Open Terminal.
- Type open -a SystemUIServer and press Enter.
- Wait for the icons to reappear and then quit Terminal.
