Problem When installing Mac OSX. You select a hard disk and it gives you the error: “The contents of this disk can’t be changed.” Solution Disk Repair.
Enable Journaling on your hard disk
In the dock, click the Finder icon (smiley face). Click Go (at the top), then Utilities and open Disk Utility. On the left, click on Macintosh HD (or whatever the name is of your main hard drive). Then at the top of the Disk Utility window, click Enable Journaling.
Force Quit a program that is not responding on Mac
To force quit an application: Click the Apple in the top left of the screen and then click. Force Quit. Select the program that is not responding. Click the Force Quit button. You can also bring up this window by pressing cmd + alt + Esc.
