Missing icons on Desktop

This article applies to Windows XP.

Problem

One or more of the default icons are missing from your Desktop such as My Computer, My Docuemnts or Internet Explorer.

Solution

1. Right click on the Desktop and click Properties.
2. Click on the Desktop tab.
3. Click Customize Desktop.
4. Check the icons you want to appear and Click OK.
