Kaspersky 2010 won’t allow Remote Assistance users to change settings

Problem

When trying to use a remote assistance program (such as TeamViewer) to change Kaspersky 2010 settings. You are unable to move the mouse inside of that window. Only the local user is able to edit the settings.

Solution

Only the local user can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Kaspersky application.
  2. Go to Settings -> Options.
  3. Uncheck “Enable Self Defence” then click OK.

  1. But that leaves me vulnerable to threats… is there a way to make it so that it only allows remote desktop? I know it has something to do with the firewall because I disabled the firewall and I had access to my computer.
