T-Mobile Broadband won’t install (Kaspersky users)

Problem

When using your T-Mobile dongle you get the following message:
“An incompatible standalone version of the speedmanager plus/ByteMobile Client is present on the system. This version must be uninstalled and OS restarted.”

Solution

  1. Uninstall Kaspersky (no need to restart after).
  2. Install the T Mobile Broadband software and restart.
  3. Reinstall Kaspersky and restart your computer..

  1. Thanks for this, been looking everywhere for a solution (most posts tell you to delete stuff from your registry)!
    Disabling Kaspersky for the install doesn't work either, didn't think to try removing it completely.
