Time Machine freezes when Intego VirusBarrier is installed


Whilst Intego VirusBarrier is installed, using the Time Machine application causes it to freeze.


  1. Open Intego VirusBarrier.
  2. In the top left of the screen (next to the apple) click Intego VirusBarrier, then Preferences.
    • If Preferences is greyed out then click ‘Check Now’ in the top right of the program and download all updates.
  3. In the Preferences window, click the Scanner tab.
  4. Then where it says Trusted Zones click the + button and add the drive that you use to backup for Time Machine.
