Problem
The general purpose USB Driver failed to start due to this error message:
“The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices with it”
Solution
- Open Device Manager.
- For each item under “Universal Serial Bus controllers” right click it and select Uninstall.
- Restart the machine and then the drivers should be installed automatically, solving the issue.
