  2. Click on Ease of Access.
  3. Click Ease of Access Center.
  4. Click on ‘Use the Computer Without Display’.
  5. Uncheck ‘Turn On Narrator’.

  1. Done that many times. It comes on at random.

First it starts with turning all keys becoming short cuts and then randomly narrator also starts to start narrating.

It happens too often and is big issue for me.

    Someone please advise

    1. Hello Hussain,

I too have had this issue but as I do not need the use of Narrator I disabled it completely.
I do not recommend this for everyone but if like me you do not need Narrator follow these steps:
      1. Locate this folder; C:\Windows\system32
      2. Now locate “Narrator.exe” in this folder.
      3. Right click on “Narrator.exe” and click on “Properties”.
      4. Click on the “Security” tab and click “Advanced”.
      5. Now click on you username and click “Edit”.
      6. Make sure you have full control and click “OK”.
      7. Now click “Apply”, a small window will open Click “Yes” and the window will close.
      8. Close the “Properties” window.
      9. You will now be able to rename “Narrator.exe”, I named mine “Narrator.old.exe”.
Now the Windows operating system will not be able to start the Narrator application.
      Hope this helps.

  2. Thanks Russell,

I’ll try that, if it doesn’t work, i’ll be sure to post again.

    Many Thanks

  3. Hi Russel,

I can’t seem to get full control, the option is grayed out. Only “trustedinstaller” has full control.

    Any suggestions?

    Hussain

    1. Hello Hussain,

Please follow the instructions carefully as it sounds like you are trying to change to owner to early at step 4.
You will be taking ownership between step 5-6.
      Hope this helps.

      Regards
      Russell

  4. Hi Russell,

There was no edit option. But your comments gave me the idea to try take ownership as administrator

(for anyone with the same issue, changed owner in Security / Advanced, Top of the box : Owner: …. change)

Once I did that, then followed your instructions and it worked. !

    Many Thanks, Russell !
