Finder won’t open a window when clicking Dock icon

Problem

Nothing happens when you click the Finder icon on the Dock. Normally it will open a new window if you have don’t have any open already.

Solution

1. Click the Apple icon in the top left of the screen,
2. Click Force Quit.
3. In the list, click Finder.
4. Click the Relaunch button.
