Clean up the “Open With” menu on Mac

Problem

When you right click on a file or folder and use the Open With menu,there may be duplicate entries or applications listed which are no longer installed.

Solution

1. Go to your User Library.
2. Go to the Preferences folder.
3. Delete the com.apple.LaunchServices.plist file.
4. Restart.
