Problem
When running the installer for Texthelp’s Read & Write, you get a message on the screen Reading “Fatal Error”, “The installer terminated unexpectedly”.
Cause
An installation of McAfee (any product) may have left files on the computer that is interrupting the installer.
Solution
Using the following removal tool followed by a restart of the affected machine will allow the installer to run:
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
