Problem
Firefox will not play videos or flash games. This will mainly happen on Facebook or Youtube. All that will appear is a black, grey or white screen and will not play. Also on Youtube, you may have “Error has occurred” come up.
Cause
Adobe Flash Player has a bug that restricts you using it on Firefox. This bug is a known issue and has been reported on various Adobe forums. The version effected at present is Adobe Flash Player 11.3.
Solution
This should fix the issue:
- Downgrade to Flash Player 10.3.
This can be done by accessing: Start -> Control panel -> Programs and Features - Remove the Adobe Flash Player version installed.
- Download an older versions of Adobe Flash Player (version 10.3 is recommended).
Or you can install Realplayer or update the version currently installed.
