Problem
Olympus Sonority will not play files. Instead you get the following error:
“Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library. Runtime error trying to play files back in Olympus sonority. Application crashes out “the application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.”
Cause
The Visual C++ runtime files needs to be reinstalled.
Solution
Download the following file and install:
Windows 64-bit: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Re-distributable Package (x64)
Windows 32-bit: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Re-distributable Package (x86)
Remember to download the correct one for you system.
To find out your system information, hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press “Pause Break” Key.
Look for “System Type” to show you whether you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.
