How to hide your Desktop icons – Windows 7, Windows 8

Problem

Your desktop is messy and you want to temporarily hide your icons.

Solution

1. Right click any clear area of the desktop.
2. In the context menu click “View”.
3. Then Uncheck “Show desktop Icons”.
