Zoomtext Activation Issues

Problem

When you try to activate a copy of Zoomtext, especially if you have reinstalled the software, you may encounter an error which stops the activation process and does not let you continue.

Cause

There may still be a previous activation key left on your machine which is stopping the Activation or possibly a corrupt activation file.

Solution

Step 1 — Cleanup previous activation attempt

  1. Restart ZoomText.
  2. On the ZoomText menu, choose Help > About ZoomText > Support (tab).
  3. In the blank box under Fix-It Commands, type: REMACT
  4. Click the Fix It button. A small dialog will appear stating: “Remove activation successful”. Click OK to close this dialog.
  5. Click Close to exit the About ZoomText dialog.
  6. Exit ZoomText.

Step 2 — Activate ZoomText

  1. Restart ZoomText.
  2. On the ZoomText menu, choose Help > About ZoomText > Activate (tab).
  3. Select and complete the desired method of activation.
