Click the tab below with your version of Office for the correct instructions.
Office 2010
- Click the Start button.
- Click All Programs.
- Go to the Microsoft Office 2010 folder.
- Go to the Microsoft Office 2010 Tools folder.
- Click on Microsoft Office 2010 Language Preferences.
- Make sure the language that you need is enabled in the Editing Languages.
- If it isn’t already the default, click on your language once it is already enabled, then click the Set as Default button on the right.
Office 2007
- Click the Start button.
- Click All Programs.
- Go to the Microsoft Office 2007 folder.
- Go to the Microsoft Office 2007 Tools folder.
- Click on Microsoft Office 2007 Language Settings.
- Make sure the language that you need is in the Enabled Editing Languages box on the right hand side and the Primary Editing Language (below) is set to what you want.
- Click OK when finished.
Office 2003
- Open Microsoft Word 2003.
- Click Tools (at the top) -> Language -> Set Language.
- Select your default language and click OK.
