Cannot open the Outlook window

Problem

You get the following error when trying to run Outlook:
“Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window.”

Solution

1. Close Outlook.
2. Click the Start button (Windows XP users should then click Run).
3. Type in the following and press Enter:
   outlook.exe /resetnavpane

There is also an official Microsoft solution but we recommend not using as we have seen it delete all the emails in Outlook. If you still want to view it then copy and paste the following link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/252304
