Problem
When the computer starts it gets stuck on the message “Configuring Updates 3 of 3 – 0% Complete” and restarts back to the message.
Solution
Run System Restore from your Windows CD or DVD. This may vary depending on your manufacturer but the option can be done on the original Windows disc by booting from it and clicking Repair your computer.
You can also use the same method above and use the Command Prompt option.
When you have a command prompt window open type:
del C:\Windows\WinSxS\pending.xml
If it deleted a file then restart the computer otherwise you may have to use the system restore option.
