  1. Even after running the Disk Repair, the error persists sometimes and it is not a faulty HDD in most cases.It can be caused by a malfunctioning Windows bootloader in the MBR. It would be good to have instructions on repairing Windows XP and Vista, 7 bootloaders, linked on this page.Keep sharing…!

  2. Thanks. Have updated to include a post on fixing the MBR for Windows Vista, 7 or newer.Have yet to do XP as I am unable to test it at the moment.
