Additional software is required for QuickTime to playback this media.

Problem

You keep getting the following message appear:
“Additional software is required for QuickTime to playback this media. It may be available from QuickTime Components page.”

Cause

This is caused by the QuickTime plugin in Firefox

Solution

1. In Firefox, press the Alt key to force the top menu to appear.
2. Click Tools -> Addons.
3. Click Plugins
4. Find “QuickTime Plug-in”
5. Click the Disable button.
