Problem
When using a Google search website on your Mac, clicking on any of the search results will result in popups appearing.
Cause
This can be caused by the installation of a fake Flash Player download. Once it has been installed, the hosts file is modified so that Google is being redirected to a different server containing the popups.
Solution
- Download and run our Mac Hosts Reset tool.
- Perform a virus scan if you have anti-virus software.
