Mail on Mac showing Full Headers above each message

Problem

In the Mail application, the full headers for each message appear above the message content. This applies to all messages.

Solution

1. With Mail open, click Mail (on the top menu), then Preferences.
2. Click the Viewing tab at the top.
3. In the dropdown box next to “Show header detail:”, change it to Default.
   
4. Close the Preferences window.
