To open “install”, you need to install a Java runtime, but you are not connected to the Internet.

Problem

When you double click the Install file on the Read & Write for Mac disc you get the following error:

“To open “install”, you need to install a Java runtime, but you are not connected to the Internet.
To install a Java runtime later, open “install” again.”

The error may still appear when you have an internet connection.

Solution

Download Java for OSX Lion.

If you do not have an internet connection then download it from a computer that does. Then transfer the file to your Mac and run it from there.
