- Disconnect the Sweex dongle if it is connected already.
- Disable the inbuilt Bluetooth on your computer if it has it.
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand the “Bluetooth Radios” section. If it is not there then you can ignore this set of steps.
- Right click on your Bluetooth device and click Disable.
- Close Device Manager.
- Install the Sweex driver from the disc or download the software.
- If you see any messages saying “Windows can’t verify the publisher of this driver” then click “Install this driver software anyway”.
- Restart the computer.
- Plug in the Sweex USB dongle into the computer and wait for it to configure the driver.
- Press and hold the headset button for about 10 seconds until it flashes red and blue.
- At the bottom right of the screen, look for the Bluetooth icon. Right click and select “Explore Bluetooth Places”. Make sure the bluetooth headset is plugged into the computer via the USB charger or it won’t find the device.
- Look for the headset in the list. Right click it and click Pair.
- When prompted for a passkey, enter 0000.
- The bluetooth headset should flash blue.
- On the Bluetooth Places window, double click on the headset.
- Double click on “Bluetooth Headset and Microphone” to establish a connection.
- Press the Windows Key + R to bring up the run dialog.
- Type mmsys.cpl and press Enter to bring up the Sound properties. From here you can check to see if the device is listed.
