Problem
After rebooting after uninstalling a piece of Norton software, the network connection states that it is local only.
Cause
The Windows uninstaller can sometimes leave behind traces of the software which are still blocking the network connection.
Solution
Remove those trace files by following the steps below.
- Download the Norton removal tool from here.
- Run the tool.
- Restart the computer.
