This fix was used whilst troubleshooting an OpticBook 3600 scanner but should work for problems with other scanners.
- Go to the Applications folder.
- Open the Readiris folder.
- Ctrl + Click on the Readiris 12 application and select Get Info.
- Check the box for 32 Bit Mode.
- Close this window and launch ReadIris.
- Go to the Readiris Preferences and check if your scanner is listed. If not, check the box “Enable Image Capture scanners”.
If that does not work:
- Download and install the latest driver available for your scanner on the website of your manufacturer.
- Check that the latest version has been correctly installed.
- Otherwise, go to http://www.irislink.com/patch-ri12-mac and download the latest update.
