Problem
When starting windows, it just shows a black screen. You can still see the mouse cursor and can move it but there is no start menu, taskbar or desktop icons. It may stay like this for a while before logging in.

I have the same problem on my mums computer i can’t install anything because its not my computer and that would be pointless ive held down f8 multiple times it comes up with repair BUT ITS NOT WORKING 🙁 plz help me !!
In this case you will need to re-install the operating system from scratch. Most manufacturers supply recovery media when you purchase a machine. if you no longer have your recovery media you will need to contact your manufacturer and request the media be sent to you (there may be a charge for this)
