Unable to use Safari menus or go to any websites

Problem

When you open Safari, you are unable to use any of the menus or navigate to any websites. You may see a website advertisement when you first open the application.

Solution

1. If Safari is still running, use Force Quit to close it.
2. Hold down the Shift key and click the Safari icon on the Dock.
• If it is not on your Dock, go to your Applications folder and drag Safari on to it.
