Problem
By default, 32-bit applications are restricted to using 2GB of virtual memory which may not be suitable for optimised performance.
Solution
Applies to 64-bit versions of Windows
It is not recommended to use this information for all of your 32-bit applications and should only be used for testing or troubleshooting purposes.
You can change the limit from 2GB to 4GB of virtual memory using the applicationĀ 4GB Patch, a free download availableĀ from the NTCore website.
- Download and run the 4GB patch.
- You will be prompted to choose an executable file.
- Select the .exe file you wish to use.
- A message should appear saying the file was successfully patched. Click OK.
A backup of the application will be made in the same directory.
