Follow these instructions with the monitor connected: Click the Apple icon in the top left of the screen. Click System Preferences. Click on Displays, on the second line. Click the Arrangement tab. Check the “Mirror Displays” checkbox in the bottom left of the window.
Show (and Hide) Hidden Files & Folders in Finder
Go to the Applications folder. Open the Utilities folder. Open Terminal. Enter the following commands, pressing Enter after each line: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE killall Finder Press cmd + Q to quit Terminal. To hide the files and folders again, change the word TRUE to FALSE in Step 4.
