How to install Rosetta on Snow Leopard
Insert the Snow Leopard installer DVD into your Mac, and launch the installer application. If you have more than one disk connected to your Mac, select the hard drive where you want to install Snow Leopard. Click Customize. Check the “Rosetta” option. Click OK.
Forgotten Password on Windows XP
Problem You cannot login to Windows XP as you are unable to remember the password. Solution Boot into Safe Mode. At the login screen, login as Administrator. Go to Control Panel -> User Accounts and change the password from there.
No sound being recorded from Plantronics headset
Problem Your Plantronics headset is being recognised in Windows but is not recording sound from the microphone. Solution Open Device Manager. Find the Plantronics headset in the list. It may show a yellow exclamation mark. Right click it and click Uninstall. Right click anywhere in the Device Manager and select “Scan for hardware changes”.
Playback in Parallels is crackly or distorted
Problem When using Parallels Desktop, the sound is distorted and crackling. However, in Mac OS X it is fine. Solution In Parallels, click Configure. On the left hand side, under the Hardware category, click Sound. Manually assign the Output and Input for the sound devices.
